It was OK!

S.W.A.T (2003) based on the tv shows in the 70's with the same title, the movie is about a young SWAT officer who followed his rebellious partner disobeying order in a bank robbery. although officer street (colin farrell) and his partner, officer gamble (jeremy renner), finally stopped the hostages situation, gamble shot a hostage victim in order to shot the perp. unfortunately, they were told not to do anything from their superiors. because of their disobeying act, they were punished to leave the SWAT team, although they were the best officers on the team. captain fuller give them an option to stay within the team and do a desk job or just leave entirely. the rebellious office gamble decided to just leave and refuse to go back to the desk job, while officer street stayed behind, thinking he could probably get his second chance. the problem is the two friends were separated in bad terms because gamble thought that street had ratted out on him and betrayed him behind his back.

until one day, sergeant hondo (samuel l. jackson) was back on the LAPD SWAT team to train three freshmen officers to be on his team. although the captain was skeptical about approving the three officers hondo had chose, he eventually agree to keep officer street, officer sanchez (michelle rodriguez), and officer kaye (l.l. cool j) to be on the team. they can't make no mistake because the captain is on watch over them

after the training and they confirm to be part of the LAPD's elite special weapons and tactics (SWAT) unit, they are up against a drug lord (olivier martinez) who's offering a hundred million dollars to the first person who springs him from jail. and that offers create a mess in the city cuz all the criminals are coming out to help the drug lord in return for the money. only the SWAT team can stop his plan, especially when officer jim stree finds out that they are up against the one person he never thought would go to the other side.

this movie was a so-so for me. it's just a regular, typical hollywood action movie. nothing extraordinary, even the dialog was just bland. the only reason i wanted to see the movie was because colin farrell is in it and i've always liked his acting.. but not in this one! i feel like he's already a sellout from all of these popular attention. aside from that.. i just don't find this movie as interesting. it's a good action movie, if you like the typical hollywood action type.. but it's not my kind of movie, at least i don't feel it to be extraordinary.

the way i see it, i could've probably felt better if just stick with watching the tv shows... at least i could've seen more action and cases to solved.
