I Really Liked It!

American Wedding (2003) .. and here it is the final sequel to the hillarous "american pie". the climax of the trilogy.. american pie ties the knot!! if you have seen the previous sequel, you'll then realy have to see this one. i have not laughed this hard at a movie since the original american pie. it is not often that a second sequel can come so close to matching the humor of the first one, especially when there is a slightly inferior second movie in between. however, american wedding does that. the story is not as deep as american pie or american pie 2, but the laughs are still there, and for some reason, i think that this movie was more emotional. i had low expectations going in and was surprised at the outcome. do worry that some of the american pie regulars opted out of appearing in this film - the ones that are left are the core of what makes these movies so funny. be warned...it is very crude and definitely earns its R rating.

i went to see this movie after finding out that seabiscuit was already sold out. i thought that this was definitely just one of those dvd movies, definitely not worth my $10. i did like the first two sequels, although i find all the humor is very engrossing but funny. but i was surprise that the movie really gives an emotional story around its hillarious humor. the story about jim and michelle who finally decided to get married and not to invite stiffler to the wedding.. but ohooohh.. it's not that easy, my friend!! and then.. the humor was just keep coming in between the wedding plan, stiffler's hillarous attempt to steal michelle's sister's heart.. while competing with finch. and yeah.. finch still couldn't get over his biggest crush.. stiffler's mom!!

get ready to roar with laughter when you watch this movie. lots of crude and outrageous jokes, yet had enough subplots and decent love story to keep everything going smoothly.

after watching this movie, i got to watch "behind the movies" on VH1 about the entire sattire behind the making of this movie. and it just doesn't come out overnight. the writer is trying to show the reality of high school students when the movie first came out. and his point was.. any high school jokes are supposed to be R rated. so there it goes.. the movie came out with R rating with its knock-it-down reality of how kids today. and that.. they say, the key to the success of the show. the writer was actually wrote the story when he was taking film school and he poured out his own story that becomes the roots of the trilogy.

another thing about the trilogy, it brought out so many young actors who now become the household names like, jason biggs, seann william scott, or even shannon elizabeth (remember nadia, the foreign-exchange student?). and i couldn't think a better ending of the hillarious trilogy then the american wedding.
