blogger in its blogspot page at first, it evolved from its original purpose of communicating with friends and families to a complete page that evolves around sLesTa's thoughts, writings, interests and hobbies, including movies, books and photography
>> who is sLesTa?
sLesTa is an indonesian mom-to-be who currently resides in singapore with her loving husband since june 2007. sLesTa first introduced to the world of blogging back in 2001 while still living in new york city, USA. it was not long after the introduction that sLesTa fell in love and continuosly updating her blog and eventually creating her own website. when she decided to move back to her "home" - jakarta, indonesia - at the end of 2004, sLesTa was having a hard time to keep her schedule on updating the site, though she tries every now and then. she finds out that her life back home and now in singapore, is just as hectic as it was back in new york. though her entries now may not as regular as how it was before, she insists to keep the domain name and continuosly keeping this site as her personal gateaway for when she needed to share her experiences and thoughts in between her busy life, especially now that she's ready to welcome motherhood.
>> why "sLesTa"?
she started to use the nick name
sLesTa since 1997 when she was given an email address from her school as a transferred student. the format of the email was the letter of the first name followed by the last name. unfortunately, being a transferred student, they have to put the graduation year after the last name. for some unknown reason -- maybe because the combination would create such a long name -- they cut it off and became
slesta99. and so from then on, she started using this email and after graduated from the school, she keep using the name like that because she thinks it sounds like some exotic words from the latin country or sumthing.. :D
