finding an apartment in new york city is like trying to find a needle in stack of hays. not only the price is overwhelming, you also need to meet certain requirements to sign a lease. first, you have to provide the landlord your credit history. if you just arrived in the state and don't have any credit card account under your name, you just reduced your chance. this could be solved by trying to find a guarantor . a guarantor must be a US-citizen who knows you very well and can guarantee your landlord that you are able to pay your rent on time.

ok, here's my case: no credit history, no guarantor.
i found my apartment through sublet.com. it is my second apt in the city with 2 bed rooms, and located in the upper east side. it is a sub-leased apartment, which is great because i don't have to provide a credit history to my landlord.
flash news of the day: about 2 days ago, the person who is sub-leasing this apt called and said there's a possibility that she's going to give up the apt, and i'd have to move out. i was shocked! imagining that i'd have to go through again the painful process to find a place to live. i love my crib. it's might be small, but it's closed to the subway and it is in Manhattan.

before i moved to the city, i imagined that my apt would be something like monica's in 'friends', or meg ryan's in 'you've got mail', or demi moore's in 'ghost'. but unfortunately i don't live in the movie world... guess i have to start looking again now..... welcome to the real world!... :( hiks..hikss...

going up and down is normal in living your life. some days you just can't thank Him enough for everything you have, while on the other days you just feel that He doesn't listen to your prayers.
c'est la vie.

it's been a few weeks since i felt that i'm being put in a roller coaster that goes so fast from top to bottom. one minute i feel grateful, and the next i'm being cursed. it is in this moment you actually learn your lesson: to keep your ride in a medium height. trouble arises when you think you don't have enough power to elevate your cart when it's going down too fast. trouble arises when you lose power and belief that it is possible to save your self before you hit the bottom.
maybe, it is necessary to hit the bottom first, because then... where else can you go except going up?
