>> PLAN AHEAD... TWO DAYS AND COUNTING....

so...here i am, two days before leaving for my vacation. can't wait till thursday. a lil flashback from the weekend....

SATURDAY
yep, went to soho. got myself a classic reebok *in white blue & red color, though...the new color that just came out, soalnya masih di plastik gitu* spent some time to look around for those asics tiger i wanted, but no more of my size *maklum kaki gue average banget size-nya, jadi paling cepet abis... hehheh* so ya udah, gak papa. pas ngeliat ke toko sebelah *david z* ngeliat reebok itu. ternyata ni reebok bentuknya mirip juga ama asics tiger yang gue suka. so that's it!! langsung ka..$..ching..$...ching...!!

from soho, stopped by at barnes and noble and got that book i wanted. so right now, i'm all prepared with 3 books for the trip. "the wind-up bird chronicle" by haruki murakami, "white-collar sweat-shop: the deterioration of work & its rewards in corporate america" by jill anderson fraser, and "divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood" by rebecca wells *haven't watched the movie yet, i want to read the book first...* good enough...!!

from soho, went to that lobster place at sheapshead bay. it's actually better than the one from port jefferson, although it's a bit ghetto, but it's closer from home. we didn't have the lobster cuz it turned out that the promotion *3 lobsters for $20* was only for their retail store, which already closed when we got there... but the resto was still open. had the clam chowder, fish cake and a slice of cheese cake. it was yummeehhh.... from there, we went home.. although man & han called and insisted that we should go with them to manhattan and go lounging. but we're too tired from the walking. not to mention it's so goddamn hot and humid too, so we just went home.

SUNDAY
laundry & packing. everything's all set!!

MONDAY
what a freakin' busy day!! got to work early... i mean very early at 8.30am *biasanya gue nyampe kantor jam 9.30am..hehhe...*!! i'm trying to finish this big project i've been putting off for the past two months. well, it's not exactly a project with a deadline, but it's very tedious, detail-oriented, and requires lots of analysis. i put it off cuz i never got a time to finish it. and now i'm going for 3-weeks vacation, i'm afraid it means more work for me when i get back and i would never finish it as it's already close to end of the year... *yeah, okay...september is not end of the year yet, but my school starts already.. a whole different kind of busy-ness will wait for me when i get back...!!* so i told all the people at work that i'm just gonna be tied up with this project before i leave, and no one can bother me *yeah right!!* but i'm getting the feel of doing it... it's almost half-way done... woohoo...

after work, went to forest hills to watch 'signs' with dri . it was...hmmm... ok!! dri liked it, but i thought it was okay. well, yeah, the story line was pretty good and the way shyamalan *the write, producer & director of the movie* creates the intensity in the movie was really great. but i feel he's trying too hard. cuz there are many scenes that i feel like i'm watching one of kubrick's movies like "children of the corn" or "the shining"... . and then the whole thing with alien feels like he's trying to compete with spielberg. well, he may look up to them, but i didn't get the "kick" at the end of the movie. not like when i saw the ending from 'the sixth sense'. it's more like 'unbreakable' *which i think sucks!!* but hey, that was me!! i do like his work, though, just that i expected more from this movie, i guess!!

TODAY
just try to finish my project. looks like i might be able to finish it by tomorrow. *cross my fingers*

za finally replied and gave me an insight on how to get rid of that banner that usually appear on top of this site *u can't see 'em no more, can you?* thanks, za!!

i've been emailing back and forth with alaya too, cuz i want her to give me some suggestions on places to visit if i do go to bali. marcel called last nite and said that indra & her have already cleared up a weekend to go to bali with me.. wow!! jadi terharu gue ..and flattered!... cuz that means she probably has to take off from her shooting schedule *iheard she's playing jelangkung 2.. gilee, udah ada sequel-nya aja gituh!! baru juga kemaren gue nonton yang original-nya*..... well, let's see if i can go to bali... it seems i have so many things have planned up for me by the time i get to jakarta. the day i arrive, mom has a family gathering *pas kebetulan ada arisan juga di rumah*. on sunday, i have a wedding to go to... and then on monday, bright and early i have to go to us embassy for visa. then the weekend after, i have bbq party *still planning* and i also have to go to bandung, spend a night there and in puncak...bla..bla..bla..oh well..!!

anyways... i'm not sure if i'm gonna write my blog again before i leave, but definitely when i'm in jakarta.

>> BEACH AND LOBSTER???

i was planning to go to the beach today and then stopped by the sheepshead bay in brooklyn for some lobsters. they're having a sale of 3 lobsters for $20. but then i also want to go to soho and bought me a nice sneakers. bro bought one for his girl and it looked nice. i've had my eye on it since a couple of months ago but couldn't decide if i want that one or puma mostro *maybe both??* hehe.. so let's see what i'll get. then maybe later stop by at that brooklyn place to get some lobsters... yeah, baby!!

saw austin powers the goldmember last nite. it was okay. had a nice laugh. it was raining hard last nite too. thunderstom every ten seconds, it was bad!! luckily i went out well-prepared, brought my umbrellas *yeah that.. and the fact that we took the car too..haha!* although the umbrella hardly keep us dry anyways. before the movie, we hung around at barnes & noble at forest hills. i was looking for haruki murakami's book "the wind-up bird chronicle" but somehow they don't have the copy of it in the store. so i think i have to go to the one in union square. i'll just stop by today on my way to soho.
