went to port jefferson today to eat... LOBSTERSS!! and that's ME 'fighting' with my lobster. trying to crack it up. hahah! i had that along with 6 pieces raw oysters. yummeeee...!! a whole bunch of us went in 4 cars! dem banyak yak!! it was fourteen of us, i think.....hehehheh arman called in the morning and asked if i wanted to go..... but, OF COURSE! things like that cannot be missed. so called everyone, woke 'em up. *well not everyone woke up yet, so i just waited until everyone called me back, hoping that they would do that before we leave!... and they did* si day-day juga nelpon paaas banget sebelom kita cabut, jadinya jemput dia ama nit dulu on the way. such a lovely day! hot hot hot... but it was nice. defits & bas brought jedi with them... he seems very happy on the way. soo cute. took many pix since the sun was really nice and bright. adis has loaded them up on her photolist but mine hasn't. soalnya kabel yang connect from the camera to usb port-nya semua ada di rumahnya adrian and he can only do it there. deemm!! ya udah, nyusul deh yaa....!

di kantor lagi sibuk abis. si kom gak masuk, jadinya tugasnya dikasih ke gue semua. wenak ajja!! emangnya gue gak ada kerjaan apa? kalo misalnya gue yang gak masuk... kerjaan gue bakal dikerjain apa? gak mungkin juga kaan?? nobody freakin' help me at this office but i help everyone. it's just not fair!! actually i never complained about this before. but more and more paperworks and workload has been overwhelming me. i stayed late at the office (well yeah, i sometimes come in late too, but either way, i end up staying late anyways) and nothing would get done! sebeeelll!! untung si boss kayaknya nyadar dengan workload gue yang makin gila2an. dia juga makin demen nyuruh2 gue, which i don't mind at all. it means he gives me enough trust to do all this important stuff now. cuman i gotta say it, i need help!

and u know what? i might just get one. so u see, two days ago i saw this girl came in to the front door and i thought "hmm.. she looks familiar...is it??..." yep, it's aimee. a nice filipina girl who used to work in my company. we became friends and used to hangout. but for some reason, i lost touch with her about a year ago. it's so nice to see her again. and later that day, ken told me that aimee will start working again on monday and she'll be helping me if i need help. woohooo.. my very own assistant! i'm happy it's her cuz she already knows how i am and working with her would be great!

u see i was gonna write about that two days ago, but i'm so busy, i don't have time to do it yet. but hey, it's friday and i don't have plans!! it's already 6pm and i'm still at work. tapi entar pengen nonton!! udah liat2 jadwal maen nya siihh... and kayaknya mau nonton minority report di union square UA theater jam 10.10 pm. wuiih lengkap!! mau ikuuuttt??? entar tak sambung with the review yaa...!! denger2 sih katanya filmnya bagus. so let's see....

finally i had the guts to go in to ken's office -- for those who don't know, ken is my boss, the owner of the company i'm working for -- and told him all about my plan this summer, including my asking for more compensation... :) it took me two weeks to think it over whether i should do it or not. i know he'll give me... he knows how much sh*t i'm handling in the office. and he knows damn well that i've been doing an excellent job (heheh...*bangga*.. kan biar confident). it's just that it's hard to put myself in that position. anyways, he says he'll consider it, which is fine by me!! cuz i was thinking even if he gives it to me after i'm back from my vacation, that'd be okay!! but the sooner the better, of course. plus next week, exactly on monday next week... it's my 3rd year anniversary working for this company!!! gila juga yaa... it's a freakin' long time! gak berasa gitu loh... i've learned a lot. maybe not compensated enough, but at least i have a job security, got to pay my bills, got money to hangout on the weekends, buy food, buy bags, shoes, clothes...hehehhe... and of course, got my GREEN CARD sponsorship... Insya Allah it'll come out next year... *doa'in yee....*

so it's all set! i'm going home this august, baybeh!! asiiikk... musti nyari2 oleh2 deh.. *duh, paling males nyari oleh2...!* udah gak sabar nih gue. untung juga dibolehin ama si boss. padahal gue tuh udah beli tiketnya dari minggu lalu, tapi baru bilang sekarang. thank GOD he didn't say anything, although he did ask how long i'll be gone. i think he's thinking whether it's too long for me to leave or not. let's see how many phone calls i'll be getting from the office while i'm in jakarta entar... hope there aren't any!! but most likely it will....!!

udah ah... gue saking senengnya jadi bingung mau nulis apa nih... i just hope he'll let me know what's the deal with my raise soon. cuz we didn't get into an agreement yet, but whatever it is, i just hope..hope.. hope... he'll give me a considerate amount. pada ikutan doa'in doongg...!! biar eke cepet kaya dan bisa pulang ke jakarta....*lah emang kalo mau pulang ke jakarta musti kaya???*

so han picked me up then we went to pick up disty too and went straight to manhattan. met up with indra, imam, yoha, marcel, tante linda, and iin in front of niketown and then walked to lexington ave. it's so goddamn hot and they're not sure where to go. cuz they still wanna walk around. so we decided to separate ourselves, cuz we don't wanna walk around with nothing in mind, so imam, me, han & disty took the car and went downtown while the rest took a cab and went to 34th street. went to puma store, walked around SoHo, and ended up in palacinka....again!!! hahah.... ya udah we stayed there and after we're done we just went back to queens and hung out at han's place. ngeliat si jedi, anjingnya defits....uuh, so cute!! everyone came sometime later and then just went home.

tidur2 udah terang. trus jam 10 pagi ditelpon ama si indra. dem! masih capek gilaa, baru tidur jam 5.... akhirnya gue tidur lagi, baru beneran bangun jam 3...waaakk!! makan ke warteg, trus ke SoHo, ketemuan ama mereka udah hampir jam 6. jalan2 bentar, belanja belanji *dem, si marcel kalap ngeliat toko, gak brenti2 belanja dia*.. mana di luar panas banget, gue udah pusing aja. eeeh... udah gitu malah pada ke queens, soalnya nyokapnya indra lagi di queens and they're gonna have dinner bareng. ya wes, masak gue balik lagi? so me and den went to cafe lalo tadinya mau nyusulin mr.d yang lagi jalan ama si nit, sar, and az tapi pas udah disamperin ke uptown mereka malah mau dinner ke downtown. siaul! ya udah kita stay di uptown. gue udah pusing bener, but i'm afraid the boys will call and i have to go back to manhattan again. so we stayed around and decided to watch insomnia. good movie! well, ceritanya sih biasa aja, i think, but it's a superb acting from al pacino and robin williams.

pas keluar, no phone calls, so we decided to go home. stopped by at gray's papaya first, cuz we're so hungry....

after work went to SoHo, met up with indra, marcel, den,imam, yoha, steven, wira, arman, budi and dwi. walked around, nemenin marcel belanja, then they went back to queens to change, and me, den, yoha & imam went to wonton garden to have dinner. took a cab, went back to their hotel and then me and den went back to queens to pick up the car and changed. met up with the rest again back at imam's hotel, ad also came with us. trus usut punya usut gak jelas mau kemana akhirnya pergi ke PUCK'S FAIR di lafayette & houston. it's an irish bar, it sucks actually, but i was so damn tired, i don't care. as long as all of us can sit down and talk...and they can drink. pulang2 everybody was 'fucked up'. hahaha. udah pada bego. sempet pada taroh2an pas ngeliat ada soccer match in the bar. korea vs. spain. korea won!! woohooo... (i root for whoever's winning! after the game.... NOT before...hihihi)

si ad on the way home was rambling about stuff and realized he was still talking.. hahah.. den was like 'what the f*ck are u talking about?' and ended up thinking what they were talking about on the way back from manhattan to queens. stupid!

so we got home udah terang. langsung tidur.

so.. ad came over to my house last nite. brought a long stem rose and knocked on my door. so sweet... he said sorry for 'ignoring' me when he's been having some problems. it was sweet although i was still a bit upset with him. it took me a while to cool down, but i'm glad we made up. hihih.. it's not like he gives me flowers everyday, heck.. he hardly gives me flower, i can only remember twice since we're going out. and i'm cool with that, cuz it makes situation like this feels special, ya gak?

so, there i was at 7 o'clock in bryant park. the lawn was already filled with all kinds of people with their wines, sandwiches, crackers, salads. enak banget!! tapi musti nungguin gin. he showed up about 15 minutes later and we looked for a spot somewhere in the lawn. found it all the way in the back, a small spot but we can squeeze in a little but we didn't know who else is coming. so we just sat there, talking, eating our snacks. dis, wir, bas, defit, man, and mir dateng udah jam 8 lewat and it's getting dark. and we saw this black clouds coming toward us and felt the drops a little. kinda get worried but me and gin were sure that it wasn't gonna rain cuz there were only a bunch of black clouds and nothing behind it. but still the others decided to leave and go for dinner instead (although adis kayaknya pengen stay.. hihi...) and there we go, gin and me stayed until it started. eh, when just about the movie started to play, it started pouring. damn rain! daripada gue basah, mendingan cabut deh. ya udah... so we went to meet up with my bro, who's showing dhania and her mom around, and we went home when they went up to empire state building *padahal gue juga belom pernah naek, walopun just right across my work.. hihi..*. badan gue gatel2 akibat allergy yang gak jelas itu - due to all the exposure to grass and trees di park tadi. udah bentol2 merah aja pas di subway. bener kata gin, ini tuh penyakit 'kampung' banget.

*oh forgot... while we were at the lawn, there was this pretty blonde girl in front of us who looks so familiar. it turns out she's an actress. honestly, i don't know her name, but i love the show she's in, LAW AND ORDER: SVU, every saturday night on NBC at 10pm *hihi hapal*. to those who loves the show as much as i do, she's the fearless prosecutor (assistant district attorney) who can be a b*tch sometimes. i think her character's name is alex cabot. very pretty in person, just how she looks on tv. cuman gue gak berani negor, soalnya gak tau namanya sapa.. hehehhe... :) so i looked it up on the net when i got home and found that her name is stephanie march. dem! telat ye...

it's gigin's bday today. happy bday gin! at the same time today is the opening of hbo film festival at bryant park for this summer, the 10th time in the row. they're playing "on the town" tonight, starring with gene kelly. so i told gigin that we should go to the park and bring some food, have a little picnic, in celebration of his bday. so, that's what we're gonna do tonight. i haven't gone to see it before, although i've always wanted to since the past 3 summers. never got a chance to do it. so i'm kinda excited. plus i want to see more classic movies this year.

ken came back from italy this weekend and is in the office today. nothing ordinary except that he seems really tired. and i need to talk to him about my taking the vacation in august. so i'll just have to wait for the right time and mood to tell him about it. i'm getting bored at work now. didn't have my lunch. don't feel like it. found this comic, and just describe how i feel at work right now.

woke up early. took shower and left to manhattan to pick up dhania & her mom. sebelom ke manhattan sempet ngobrol ama si ginger. dia nanya kenapa gue ama adrian. dia sempet ngomong ama adrian, dan bilang kalo emang dia lagi aneh banget. tapi yaaa. sebisa2nya dia mau nyobain ngebantu, gak selse juga lah masalahnya. soalnya gue sekarang refuse to talk to him or even call him first. gue udah capek ngalah mulu. biarin aja dia rasa gak gue telpon2. gimana jadinya entar aja deh. gue gak mau mikirin. cuman bikin gue stress aja.

trus kita berlima: dims, den, dhan, dhan's mom, and me went to outlet di harriman. i got a bag from kate spade, two shirts from dkny, and a couple of t-shirts from banana republic. lumayan juga. trus pulang langsung ke yakitori. mesen makanan banyaak banget. untung dibayarin ama nyokapnya dhania...hihihi. thank you, tante. eh, pas on the way mau balik, ketemu si ibonk ama mia di kursi depan yakitori. hueahah.. ke-gap dia. udah gitu si mia ternyata temen sma-nya dhania, jadi langsung heboh those two girls. and we got some juicy gossip on the way back. hahha.. tapi gak bisa ditulis disini, yang berhubungan bisa marah. jadi email gue aja kalo mau tau...hehehe...

sengaja nih gue kemaren gak nulis2 di blog ini, soalnya it could ruin the surprise. so much drama! hahah... we tried to get han out of the house so we can prepare the bbq stuff, but she ended up sick and we had to suprise her early before she got suspicious with many people preparing the place for the party. but it was good. she was surprised. especially since none of us called her the night of her birthday. hahahahh.... she spent her birthday alone at her house. poor hani...!!

nit also surpised after may took her around for no specific reason, took her around the malls from 11 o'clock in the morning. hahhaha... all and all, it was a good party. we haven't had a get together with so much people like that for a while. good to see people again.

after the party, den, mar & me went to manhattan cuz den's friends are in town, one of them with her mom. so, we took them around. standard tourist scene, ground zero, south street seaport, empire state (cuman lewat...).. and before we know it, it's late. tadinya mau diajakin ke brooklyn, to the promenade, but it's late, and they're tired already. so we had dinner at 'nyonya'. good food, stingray in lotus leaf, fried squids, kangkung belacan, roti canai and sambal shrimps hmm... yummmiiii!! udah gitu there was this guy and a girl next to us who keeps looking at us the whole time. so after dinner, the guy looked at us and said something....IN INDONESIAN!!. he speaks a very good indonesian, no accent at all, malah lebih kayak accent orang2 di kampung jawa gitu. turns out he's a doctor and has been doing research in indonesia for the last 8 years and just got back in february. and he has a close knit with indonesian people for the past 20 years. now he lives in london and just having a vacation in new york with his girlfriend who lives in austin, texas. we ended up talking for quite a long time. very interesting fella. and funny cuz if he changed his tone from speaking indonesian to english, he has this heavy british accent. his indonesian was so perfect, he even knows how to speak a little javanase and sundanese (especially he lives most in bogor). so we exchange our numbers and stuff and headed home. nice meeting you jonathan and rebecca.

on the way, had an argument with adrian. i haven't gotten in touch with him for three days, and finally i caught him at home. his cell hasn't been working for days, and there was no urge for him to give me a call whatsoever. and for some reason, it's not a fucking big deal for him. gak tau apa gue nyariin. it just reminded me luki all over again, gone, and everybody thought he always did that and not a big deal, but turned out the worst. gue udah bilang ama dia, gue tau dia kerja, gue tau dia lagi sibuk, tapi apa salahnya sih angkat telpon for just a freakin' 5 seconds. udah tau cell nya dia lagi rusak, dan dia jarang di rumah, jadi gak mungkin gue keep in touch ama dia. eh, tapi dia malah bilang, what's the fucking big deal? it's only three days! ih, nyebelin banget. adeknya, nyokapnya udah pada nelpon ke gue nyariin. ya masak gue gak kawatir sih? gak tolerate banget gitu loh. trus gak selse sih masalahnya, cuman gue mau ngasih pelajaran ama dia. from now on, kalo dia nelpon, gak bakalan gue angkat, gue liat ampe seminggu. biar tau rasanya gimana. soalnya dia tuh emang susah buat nelpon orang. biarin deh! gue udah capek soalnya ini masalah udah sering banget kejadiannya. dan buat dia, itu tuh gak masalah kalo dia gak nelpon kalo emang lagi sibuk. tapi kita kan gak hidup di dunianya dia. the world does not revolve around him. MEN!! how the fuck do i know what's going on with him? do i have to wait until he's done a week later then i can find out? what a way to communicate!

kemaren pulang kerja ke funeralnya luki. sedih banget, pada nangis orang2. gue cuman bisa ngasih do'a. gak kuat berdiri di depan jenazahnya (ditaro di coffin sih, close casket, soalnya badannya udah ancur akibat di air selama seminggu dan abis di-autopsy pula). udah gitu ada fotonya luki next to the coffin, aduh, makin sedih ngeliatnya. anyways, but life goes on, right? we can only learn from this. how much we regret to not keep in touch with friends. luki is always be in our heart, but i regret how at the end of his life, nobody knew exactly what was going on with him. yeah, most of us who live in ny just think highly of having given privacy to people. but to what extent? what if a person is just having trouble in opening up to people. what if a person feels like there's nobody to talk to? isn't that sad? makanya i feel blessed to have such nice friends, even temen2 gue yang nun jauh disana gue masih bisa keep in touch. i know who i can talk to if i have problems. and from now on, i'll make sure if i see my friends seem to have a problem opening up, expressing their feelings, i'll stick by them till they let it out. after all, that's what friends are for, right?

anyways, abis dari funeral, trus ke SPICE, have dinner with bunch of people. it was nit's bday yesterday. happy bday nit! lumayan rame. bener kata si defits, chu chee duck top dah!! tapi gak abis, abisan banyak juga porsinya. untung ada si den, yang ngebantuin gue aside from his thai bbq chicken hueahahh.. banyak dia makannya.

abis makan, pulang, gosok gigi, bersiin muka, tidur deh!!

i can't put into words how i'm feeling right now. monday. it was just such a sad day, what a way to start my week. udah gitu mana mobil gue kacanya dipecahin lagi......yeah, that's right, LAGI!! sebeell.. it's already the 5th times happening in my neighborhood, the 2nd on my new car. dammit. padahal my neighborhood is pretty safe, it's just that there are too many anak iseng. i told denny to report it to the police so at least they know and aware about what's going on in the neighborhood. and they said that denny's report was the 7th report so far from the same area on that day. and the funny thing is, nobody stole anything, they just break the glasses. berarti kan bener itu orang iseng. alesan polisinya suspect kalo itu tuh anak2 iseng soalnya hari minggu tuh abis puerto rican day parade. but i don't want to point finger to a certain race or ethnic. but that could happen, there is a reason for it. and when denny took the car to the auto shop, katanya dia nemuin other cars yang ngalamin kejadian yang sama and parked in the same area. berarti emang orang iseng!! aaaahhh, sebel.

udah gitu it's confirmed that it was luki. sad...sad.. sadd... so tragic. he's the nicest guy i know. we're going to his funeral later on today. ooh God!!

well, i don't want to feel sad the whole week. my co-worker send me this pic. india-pakistan, they're probably gonna go into war, hope not. it just adds up all the sadness, but hey at least somebody tried to make a joke out of it.

just heard the saddest news today. less than 2 hours a go, i shockingly learned that one of my friends, luki, had passed away. Inna lillahi wa'inna illaihi roji'uun. apparently he had been missing since monday, and he does not live with his sister anymore. the police called mba ina to tell her that they found a body in the river with his driver's license. she has to come by to the hospital to identify the body tomorrow. why he died? i dunno yet. han, arman, and me was going to visit their apartment in manhattan, but han and me decided that we should just stopped by tomorrow after work. cuz mba ina, luki's sister, is probably still in shock and hectic with all the procedures with what happened. we thought that a bunch of us coming would probably make the situation worse. although, we probably could give her a hand to help. but we'll find out more tomorrow i guess.

u know it's pretty weird because just recently, i think within this week, i thought about how i haven't spoken to him or even find out how he's been doing. this is a total shocking news. very sad. luki was a really good friend. may Allah bless you!!

oya gue lagi baca buku karangan haruki murakami judulnya norwegian wood . so far it's very good, very interesting... i like reading books like this yang settingnya jaman2 dulu gini... i think you learn your history by doing this...

gile yee... gue kagak ada kelas sampe september, enak juga... heheh.. well, at first it's nice, berasanya gue tuh gak stress out sama kerjaan kantor dan kerjaan sekolah, eh tapi ternyata setelah 2 minggu kemudian, i realized kalo all those free time malah bikin gue tambah stress out... hueahahah... why? u asked... how the hell would i be stressed out for having too much free time? well, one thing is that i already got used to being busy... and having all these free time means i got more time to think about everything... i mean, everything, and that's not good, cuz it makes me crazy, once i start thinking about stuff, it just never stops... and it'll stay in my head for the longest... until i find the solution.. damn, man!! THAT drives me crazy... gila yee...?? so, i decided, well, to keep myself busy, i'll start going to the gym again, start reading books again... that means buy new books and collect them... and then.. after i see blog nya mr. d & friends, i decided... why don't i learn to design a website, at least learn html.. ya gak?? anyways gue kan bakal dapet my MBA in IS so it'll help me a little kan?? and for sure it'll keep me busy this summer...

udah gitu as always every summer, i gotta find new activities.. if last year mostly about concerts, so i'm thinking this year i should focus more into arts & films... pengen ngeliat2 museum2 or galleries.... and for sure, i gotta go to see bryant park hbo films .. dari dulu pengen kesana during summer gak jadi2 mulu... tapi kayaknya taun ini pasti banget... soalnya gue lagi pengen menelusurin (bener gak nih bahasa?) all the classic movies... jadi temanya summer ini... classic arts deh.. cuz i want to read classic literatures more... that has gotta be fun... so by the end of the summer, i will gain something instead of just the tan lines yang susah bener ilangnya... (susah, kulit melayu, ... i was born with a tan... hahahah!)

ok deh, that's all for today.. just to introduce my summer program nih.. hopefully you'll see different format on my blog soon yaa... better format...
